How the law of attraction led me to a lifestyle business mentor? The law of attraction is the theory that we become what we think about. For many it’s not a theory but a law.
My life was pretty miserable for quite some time. I was juggling several jobs to fill in work in between getting film with as a stunt performer (see about me). Most of these jobs were short term and badly paid. I was constantly in debt and stressed and my relationships were a disaster.
I wasn’t getting enough work to make ends meet and the work I was doing was making me miserable. So I looked to the internet as a means to earn some extra income.
How The Law Of Attraction Led Me To Find A Lifestyle Business Mentor
At first I started buying and selling using eBay, the giant auction site. I would buy from car boot sales, charity shops and antique fairs and then sell at a higher price on eBay. After a while I looked for another strategy which could make better use of my time. I downloaded an ebook which taught me another strategy. However, even though I used this strategy successfully to make some money through eBay, I couldn’t get the idea of the ebook out of my head. I was excited at the idea of selling a digital book myself. I knew that if I could make it work, I could automate the sale and sell globally, without having to post anything, or even speak to a customer. The benefits of selling a digital piece of information, in essence, seemed like a great idea to me.
Why The Law Of Attraction?
Around this time I was also looking into the law of attraction. I had watched the film The Secret and been massively inspired. However, nothing really happened and I became a bit of a law of attraction sceptic!
It wasn’t until later that I realised how powerful the law of attraction was when I started learning how to apply the law of attraction effectively. Anyway, I use the law of attraction here because I can see how it worked, looking back.
It was my excitement at having an automated income stream which kept me going. Once I downloaded the ebook guide which I had purchased, I knew I could do the same. It lit a fire in me which never went out and I was determined to figure out a way that I could automate an income from the internet.
My Own Ebooks – My Automated Online Sales?
I created a couple of my own ebooks and attempted to sell them online. Unfortunately I didn’t manage to sell a single ebook! I didn’t give up though and I put myself on several online courses which taught marketing strategies. It was during one of these courses that I learned about affiliate marketing.
Affiliate marketing is basically referral marketing. Anyone can become an affiliate, choose an online product to promote, and earn a commission from the sale. Once I understood this business model, I abandoned my ebooks and went about promoting other people’s products instead.

I took a number of online training courses which taught many ways to market affiliate products online. It took some time before I even made a sale online but when I did it was a massive breakthrough. One of my first sales came from a review article I had written. But a lot of what I was doing was simply wasted time, money and energy. I mostly failed! Affiliate marketing is about mostly failing too, and making lots of mistakes. But when you get some success with it, you can repeat that success. That’s the exciting part. If you can repeat a sale and get it running automatically, you’ve cracked it!
It was some time later that I met my first affiliate marketing mentor who showed up in person. Up until then, I was following people who were only online in a recorded video format!
Lifestyle Business Mentors -Stuart and Jay
I met Stuart Ross and Jay Kubassek in 2014 at a seminar in London after joining their community of online lifestyle business mentors. Needless to say I was sceptical when I joined. This was because I had literally spent years following one course and then another. I was pretty burned out and had paid for one “guru” after another!
